Providers of Professional Event Management & Sponsorship Services Globally

Dwayne is a western boy at heart, hailing from Richmond, BC. He grew up in an athletic environment which included junior hockey and minor league baseball. He graduated with a double major in Sports Administration and Commerce from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario. This elite program is one of a kind in Canada, training its students in sport marketing and event management.

During his years in Sudbury, Dwayne had the opportunity to work on marketing and sponsorship projects involving professional and amateur sporting associations including the NBA, NHL, CIAU, and CFL. Dwayne began his career in the event industry by accepting a job with the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA). This Chicago based association is the world’s largest producers of boat shows.

Dwayne was based in Toronto working as the Sales Manager for the Toronto International & In Water Boat Shows. He also was involved in the floor management and production of events in U.S. markets such as Miami, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New Orleans. Dwayne remained with the boat shows for 3 seasons progressing his career and experience in the event industry.

In 1997, Dwayne moved to Southex Exhibitions, which later became dmg world media, the world's largest producers of consumer and trade shows, to work in the home interest sector focussing on the development of an internal sponsorship and sales program. He spent one full show season as the National Sales Manager designing and instituting the current dmg world media national sponsorship & corporate sales partnership programs which yielded revenues comparable to many professional sports teams.

In 2002, Dwayne accepted a promotion to become the Director of Sales, North America and subsequently held the role Vice President of Sales, North America responsible for all company exhibit space, sponsorship, and corporate sales targets as well as heading up the staff training and education initiatives run internally at dmg. Dwayne's programs and unique style were launched in many global arenas through dmg and gave Dwayne exposure and work experience globally in markets such as Australia, New Zealand, and many parts of the UK.

In 2005 Dwayne left dmg for an opportunity to work with sponsors for the Torino Olympics and subsequently launched Continuum Productions in early 2006 where he currently serves as President.

Dwayne speaks at many conferences and conventions throughout the year including IEG, CAEM, NACS, IAEM, and CAFE and also taught the sales, marketing and negotiating courses while holding the role as committee chair for the Exposition, Convention & Trade Show Management post graduate course at George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. He also has been a regular guest lecturer at Wilfred Laurier University's MBA program in Kitchener, Ontario.
